Professional production in Saxony Switzerland
The history of the Carado brand started back in 2005 with the procurement of production facilities in Neustadt near Dresden, with which the foundation for future manufacture was established. After founding Carado GmbH as part of the Erwin Hymer Group in the ensuing year, production of the first Carado motorhomes began at the factory site from December and caravans followed in 2007. A further milestone in the development of Carado was the introduction of the Carado Delight caravan in 2012. They enhance the range of highly functional mobile homes that, thanks to their lightweight design, can even be towed by small vehicles without trouble.
Outstanding value for money
Today, Carado has become a mainstay of the mobile home industry. In 2013, the company was distinguished not only as the overall winner of the König Kunde Award of the renowned Reisemobil International magazine but also with the safety award of the Deutsche Camping-Clubs e.V. In-keeping with its aspiration of maintaining this high standard in future, too, the company achieved first place for value for money as well as the special best value vehicles prize of the König Kunde Award 2014.
With a workforce of 60 in 2006, the number of staff at the production facilities in Neustadt grew to 350 in 2015. Today, these staff members build about 5,100 recreational vehicles a year, half of which are models of the Carado brand. This year, the number is even expected to reach 5,400 and thereby higher than ever before. In the spring of 2015, the 30,000th vehicle rolled off the line and there is potential for further growth.
Customer orientation is the secret to success
The Carado’s huge success is based on a strategy in which people – customers and staff – are at the core. In this way, Carado focuses on Germany-made quality, which the competent staff achieve with their own standards of perfection and a high degree of professional craftsmanship. Every model is unique, which is made on-site “just in time“ so that no additional storage costs are accrued. An optimal administration structure, a special procurement concept as part of a strong corporate group and clever logistics are also contributory factors in being able to offer quality at a favourable price. The vehicles are built to a high standard and with a custom interior completely without costly extras. At the customers’ service are also 170 trading partners throughout Europe who form a close-knit network, which keeps servicing journeys short. Moreover, there are many contact partners and service stations on tour. With these special properties, Carado is writing the next chapter of its success story – for thousands more satisfied customers who get pleasure from mobile holidaying.
