Most camping grounds are normally open from the beginning of June until the end of August. At a campsite, you can expect to find electrical hook-ups, running (drinkable) water and restrooms. Most campsites also have a playground for kids, and a communal charcoal grill. As Iceland is getting more popular as a goal and destination, it is important to plan ahead and have some idea of where you will be staying.
